Actress has been nominated in the Best Actor in a Villainous Role category for the 49thFilmfare Awards. The powerful role and script of helped her to portray the best ofher ability. And if given a choice, she would definitely award the trophy toherself. You know, it was the role and the script that attractedme. I took up Pooja Bhatt''s because it was such a powerful role. It gave me a lot of scope to perform andalso a lot of satisfaction as an actress while doing it. It wasn''t the usualkind of role where the actress is just a pretty face to adorn the screen in thefilm. I knew I was doing a villain''s role when I took it up, and portrayed it tothe best of my ability. No, when I''m doing a film, I don''t think aboutawards. Obviously, I want the film to do well and I would like to be appreciatedas an actress. For me the Filmfare nominations itself is a great reward, andbelieve me, I''m happy withit.I don''t know.Maybe I''d select Irfan Khan and myself. I''d give both of us the trophy. My rolewas so different from the run-of-the mill roles actresses do, and it has beenwell appreciated. And Irfan Khan is a supreme actor. He''s done a great job in. I''m also working with him intwo films and I think he is a wonderful person and knows his job verywell.
I don''t know whether I should answerthat one! But I am certainly happy about the nomination. As for winning, I''llleave that to the judges todecide. That would be jumping the gun, wouldn''t it? I''drather wait and see if I win the award first. Then I''ll think ofcelebrating!
